Brila FAQ

Question 1

What is Brila?

Accepted Answer

Brila is a crypto-native financial holding company that operates a set of on-chain financial verticals.

Its mandate is to coordinate capital, underwrite credit responsibly, manage treasury efficiently, and generate sustainable revenue across its operating businesses. Brila is structured as an operator, not a single-purpose protocol.

Question 2

What does Brila actually do?

Accepted Answer

Brila oversees and operates three core verticals:

1. NFT Finance through Cyan
      2. Institutional Real World Asset lending vaults
      3. Treasury Management Solutions under the Elara brand

Each vertical is designed to generate revenue through disciplined capital allocation and risk management. Brila’s role is to coordinate these businesses, enforce underwriting standards, and ensure capital is deployed productively.

Question 3

What is Brila’s long-term objective?

Accepted Answer

The long-term objective is to operate a durable, revenue-generating on-chain financial platform.

This includes:

- Coordinated capital deployment
      - Disciplined credit underwriting
      - Efficient treasury management
      - Lean operations
      - Measured portfolio expansion

The focus is steady execution over spectacle.

Question 4

How does Brila manage risk?

Accepted Answer

Risk management is embedded across all verticals.

This includes:

- Robust collateralization standards
      - Defined underwriting criteria
      - Position sizing limits
      - Controlled treasury exposure
      - Lean operational cost structures

Capital preservation precedes growth.

Question 5

Does Brila plan to expand into new verticals?

Accepted Answer

Potentially, but selectively. Any new vertical must meet strict criteria:

- Revenue-generating
      - Capital-efficient
      - Structurally aligned with existing infrastructure
      - Governable within clear risk frameworks

Expansion is considered only if it strengthens the portfolio and improves long-term sustainability

Question 6

How does Brila generate revenue?

Accepted Answer

Revenue is generated through:

- Structured credit spread in institutional lending
    - Risk-adjusted credit spreads on NFT finance through Cyan
    - Yield generation and capital efficiency through Elara treasury infrastructure

None of our protocols rely on token emissions as a primary source of economic value. Returns are delivered from real financial activity.

Question 7

What does "sustainability" mean in practice?

Accepted Answer

Sustainability means operating income exceeds operating expense.

1) It means yield is derived from economic activity rather than token issuance.
        2) It means treasury strength improves over time through retained earnings.

Brila is built to compound capital, not cycle through incentives.

Question 8

How is Brila different from prior crypto protocols?

Accepted Answer

Historically, many crypto protocols prioritized growth through token incentives and liquidity mining. Brila is structured around revenue discipline and capital preservation.

Key differences include:

- Emissions are not treated as a business model
      - Every vertical must justify itself economically
      - Underwriting standards are enforced centrally
      - Treasury management is treated as a core competency

The focus is sustainable output, not short-term expansion.

Question 9

What is Elara?

Accepted Answer

Elara is Brila’s treasury management framework.

It consists of:

1. Elara TMS: a dollar-referenced, yield-bearing treasury asset
      2. Elara CDP: an overcollateralized capital efficiency layer

Elara exists to improve internal capital coordination and strengthen treasury durability.

Question 10

What is Elara TMS?

Accepted Answer

Elara TMS is a dollar-referenced, yield-bearing treasury asset operated under Brila.

It generates yield through diversified, on-chain stablecoin strategies across established protocols that maintain deep and consistent liquidity. The objective is to provide a simplified way for users to earn income without managing multiple strategies directly.

Elara TMS is not designed as a payments stablecoin or exchange medium. It is intended as a savings-oriented mechanism that abstracts away the operational complexity of on-chain yield generation.

While not risk-free, the strategy prioritizes liquidity, capital preservation, and disciplined allocation. Elara TMS will be live on Ethereum mainnet and also supports Brila’s broader liquidity coordination and balance sheet management framework.

Question 11

What is the Elara CDP?

Accepted Answer

The Elara CDP is an overcollateralized borrowing facility built around staked Elara TMS.

It allows users to borrow against their Elara TMS positions and, if they choose, reallocate borrowed capital back into Elara TMS in a recursive strategy. This looping mechanism can enhance yield by introducing leverage.

This structure carries higher risk than holding Elara TMS alone. Users are adding leverage to a yield-generating base asset, which increases both return potential and exposure to adverse conditions. The CDP maintains defined collateral thresholds and liquidity constraints, and access may be limited based on system capacity and risk parameters.

The Elara CDP is designed as a yield enhancement mechanism for users who understand and accept the risks of leveraged strategies. It is not intended as a primary savings instrument.

Question 12

How does Elara generate yield?

Accepted Answer

Elara allocates stablecoins across managed on-chain strategies, including concentrated-liquidity market making. Returns come from market activity rather than token incentives, and the target yield is not guaranteed.

Question 13

How liquid is an Elara position?

Accepted Answer

Elara is designed to keep 10% of capital available for instant liquidity. Remaining withdrawals follow the applicable redemption window, so users should review current terms before depositing.

Question 14

What are the main risks of using Elara?

Accepted Answer

Elara carries smart-contract, strategy, market, and liquidity risk. Using the CDP adds leverage and liquidation risk, which can amplify both gains and losses.

Question 15

What is Cyan?

Accepted Answer

Cyan is an NFT financing protocol operated under Brila.

It allows users to purchase digital assets using Buy Now, Pay Later financing, or borrow against existing NFT holdings to access liquidity without selling. Importantly, assets under financing can continue to earn rewards such as airdrops. Cyan generates revenue through structured financing activity and operates with defined risk parameters around collateral and repayment.

Question 16

What is the difference between Cyan BNPL and pawn loans?

Accepted Answer

BNPL finances a new NFT purchase through scheduled payments. A pawn loan lets you borrow against NFTs you already own without selling them.

Question 17

How do Cyan BNPL payments work?

Accepted Answer

The default schedule starts with 25% down, followed by three equal payments over roughly three months. Exact terms are shown before financing begins.

Question 18

How much can I borrow against an NFT?

Accepted Answer

Cyan pawn loans can support up to 66% loan-to-value and terms up to six months. Available terms depend on the collateral and current vault parameters.

Question 19

What happens if a Cyan loan defaults?

Accepted Answer

The NFT collateral can be liquidated to repay the funding vault. Cyan's default process is designed to list defaulted NFTs through OpenSea within three days, subject to market conditions.

Question 20

What are the institutional lending vaults?

Accepted Answer

The institutional lending vaults facilitate credit extension to approved off-chain businesses, primarily backed by real-world assets.

Borrowers undergo careful off-chain underwriting, with defined collateral frameworks, pricing, and risk controls. The vault infrastructure processes capital flows on-chain, providing transparency, auditability, and operational efficiency for lenders.

Brila is also introducing enhanced due diligence dashboards through Accountable to support institutional underwriting standards and ongoing borrower monitoring.

Yield is generated through interest income from real credit activity, not token incentives.

Question 21

What are Credit Vault tranches?

Accepted Answer

A vault can have one, two, or three tranches with distinct risk and return profiles. Senior tranches receive repayment first, while junior and equity tranches absorb losses earlier in exchange for greater return potential.

Question 22

What is the capital formation period?

Accepted Answer

It is the funding period before a vault becomes active. If its minimum size or tranche requirements are not met by the deadline, committed capital is returned to lenders without additional fees.

Question 23

Do Credit Vaults require KYC?

Accepted Answer

Portfolio managers set access rules per tranche. Some vaults are permissionless, while others require identity verification or restrict participation by wallet, entity, or jurisdiction.

Question 24

How do repayments flow through a Credit Vault?

Accepted Answer

Repayments follow a waterfall: the senior tranche receives principal and target interest first, followed by junior, while equity receives remaining funds. This order also determines how losses are absorbed.

Question 25

What are the main risks of Credit Vaults?

Accepted Answer

Lenders face borrower default, delayed repayment, collateral, liquidity, smart-contract, and portfolio-manager risk. Risk differs by vault and tranche, so lenders should review each vault's terms and disclosures before participating.

Question 26

Is Brila a token project?

Accepted Answer

Brila is not structured around speculative token dynamics.

It operates financial infrastructure that produces revenue. Governance and capital coordination may involve on-chain components, but economic durability does not depend on token reflexivity.

Question 27

What is BRLA?

Accepted Answer

BRLA is Brila's primary ecosystem token. It is available on HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain, with a native HIP-1 spot market on HyperCore and HIP-2 protocol liquidity.

Question 28

What is BRLA's total supply?

Accepted Answer

BRLA has a fixed supply of 1 billion tokens: 35% for the TRU swap, 20% for TGE, and 45% in the vested reserve.

Question 29

Where can I trade BRLA?

Accepted Answer

BRLA trades against USDC on Hyperliquid's native spot market and is available on Uniswap on Robinhood Chain. Use the Brila bridge to move BRLA between HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain.

Question 30

How does BRLA move between HyperEVM and Robinhood Chain?

Accepted Answer

The LayerZero V2 bridge locks BRLA on HyperEVM and mints the corresponding amount on Robinhood Chain. Bridging back burns BRLA on Robinhood Chain and releases the backing tokens on HyperEVM. This moves existing supply between networks without creating an additional token allocation.
